South division 1B basketball winners announced

— Nic Kapalo of Soap Lake and Danielle Sandberg of Moses Lake Christian Academy were named Most Valuable players for the south 1B division of the Central Washington B League.

Duke Wood of MLCA was named Coach of the Year.

Wilson Creek received the boys team sportsmanship award.

First team boys included Dan Sielaff and Kyrelle Buckley of Columbia Basin Secondary School, Alec Naccarato of MLCA, Bo Nielsen and Brayden Winters of Soap Lake and Caleb McMillan of Wilson Creek.

Honorable mention went to Spencer McNamara of MLCA and Julio Gomez of Wilson Creek.

For girls, Nathan Covey of Soap Lake was named Coach of the Year.

Easton received the team sportsmanship award.

First team girls included Anna Yarbro of MLCA, Nelly Korneychuk, Samantha White and Marissa Brooks of Soap Lake, Randi Jo Tate of Easton and Sophie Hochstatter of Wilson Creek.

Honorable mention went to Amber Lloyd of CBSS and Mikayla Louden of MLCA.
